About Jesus Culture
Jesus Culture is an American worship movement and band that began in 1999 as a youth conference at Bethel Church in Redding, California, led by youth pastor Banning Liebscher. Its band grew out of the church's youth worship team, with Kim Walker-Smith, Chris Quilala and Melissa How as the original core. The ministry runs conferences and the Jesus Culture Music label, and in 2014 it planted Jesus Culture Church in Sacramento, where it is now based.
- Started as the youth ministry of Bethel Church in Redding before becoming an independent church in Sacramento (2014)
- Their 2018 album Living With a Fire received a Grammy nomination
- Kim Walker-Smith's recordings with the band, such as How He Loves, helped define the movement's sound
