About “Come Behold The Wondrous Mystery”
Matt Boswell, Michael Bleecker, and Matt Papa wrote this modern hymn in late 2012, finishing it by early 2013. Boswell has said the melody came to him in about five minutes at a piano in Louisville during a Gospel Coalition recording project, and he and Bleecker drafted verses on the flight home to Texas before Papa completed the text. The hymn walks through the life of Christ, from incarnation through his sinless life and death to his resurrection. This recording, with Kristyn Getty as guest vocalist, appeared on Boswell and Papa's 2019 album of their hymns.
