About “Do It Again”
The song grew out of a sermon called Don't Stop on 6 that Steven Furtick preached at a Hillsong conference, drawing on Israel marching around the walls of Jericho in Joshua 6. Matt Redman texted Furtick that there was a song in the idea, and at a later writing retreat Redman, Furtick, Chris Brown and Mack Brock built the chorus as a declaration of God's unchanging faithfulness, with Furtick supplying the opening image of circling walls that had not yet fallen. Elevation Worship recorded it live in September 2016 during the Code Orange Revival at their Ballantyne campus in Charlotte, North Carolina, and released it on the 2017 album There Is a Cloud.
