About “Holy Spirit”
Bryan and Katie Torwalt wrote the song for their local church after Bryan kept remembering a song about the Holy Spirit he had sung in church as a kid, which started a conversation about writing their own. In a CCLI interview they described their prayer as wanting to see the Holy Spirit moving in people's lives and to make room for awareness of His presence. This is their original recording, released in 2011 on their debut album Here On Earth after they signed with the Jesus Culture Music label in fall 2010. Jesus Culture later recorded the song with Kim Walker-Smith, but the Torwalts' version came first.
