About “Nothing Else”
Cody Carnes wrote Nothing Else with Hank Bentley and Jessie Early and released it in January 2019 as the lead single from his album Run to the Father. Carnes told FreeCCM the song came out of a season when he realized he had become more concerned with what God could do for him than with God himself, and that recognizing this broke him. He has described the song as an act of repentance, a return to simple worship where being with Jesus matters more than anything he provides.
