About “Turn Your Eyes - Live”
Helen Lemmel wrote the original hymn Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus in the early 1920s, reportedly inspired by a tract from missionary Lilias Trotter. In 2019, Sovereign Grace Music writers George Romanacce, Nathan Stiff, Nic Trout and Kevin Winebarger used Lemmel's famous chorus as the first verse and added three new verses plus a new chorus that trace the gospel through the cross, the empty grave and Christ's return. The live recording was released in December 2019 on The Glorious Christ (Live).
