About “Lion and the Lamb - Live”

Leeland Mooring has said the chorus came to him while he was leading worship at a church in California, and he carried a phone recording of it for about a year and a half before Brenton Brown helped him write the verses, with Bethel's Brian Johnson joining to finish the song. In a NewReleaseToday interview, Mooring said the idea grew out of a conversation with his brother about the power and tenderness of God existing together, as pictured in Revelation where Jesus is both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb who was slain. Bethel Music released this live version, led by Mooring, on the 2016 album Have It All.
